Tweaks and enhancements
- As a number of you reported, a service interruption impaired sending and receiving notifications for a couple of days. This was due to an avalanche of snowflake cookies. Ever since the skating rink background appeared, I wanted to do this cosplay, of a character from one of my favourite movies ever! ^__^
The film is Onegin, and the character is Tatyana, played by the beautiful Liv Tyler. Under the cut you can see screencaps from the Sankt Petersburg skating scene.
If you haven't seen this movie yet, I cannot recommend it enough! It's based on the classical novel in verse by Alexandr Pushkin, but the film is quite different from the satirical tone of the novel - it's melancholy and dreamy instead, and it's got the most beautiful and painting-like cinematography! Along Liv Tyler, Ralph Fiennes is playing the dandy Eugene Onegin. Because it's got many gorgeous winter scenes, it makes for a great winter evening watch! <3
The fur bag is supposed to represent Tatyana's manchon. ^^; Maybe one of the Gothic Coats would have been a better match for this cosplay, but this is the best a poor poupee such as me could do! ^___^
